Meet Vic | Chicago & Rockford Wedding and Portrait Photographer



Hi, I’m Vic, the photographer behind Victoria Ascue Photography. I photograph weddings, families, children, high school seniors, and pets in Chicago, Rockford, and beyond. I love images that feel natural, full of life, and true to the people in them.

I was born in Chicago, raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, and spent many years in the Rockford area before finding my way back to Chicago. Ballet was my first love, but a camera I received for my eighth birthday sparked a passion that stayed with me. I’ve been photographing people professionally since 2012.

During family and children’s sessions, I make room for kids to be themselves. We can follow their lead, have a little fun, and capture the expressions and connections you’ll want to remember. I bring that same relaxed approach to senior portraits and pet photography, too.

For weddings, I pair an eye for candid moments with a love of organization. I’m happy to help think through the photography timeline, keep family portraits moving, and pay attention to the little details so you can enjoy your day.

When I’m away from the camera, you’ll usually find me traveling, reading, working out, occasionally going for a run, or spending time with Toby, my fluffy white dog and very demanding little boss. Some of my favorite places I’ve visited are the Galápagos, Belgium, and Anguilla.
